Breakfast represents a break in fasting, it lays the foundation for healthy eating and therefore benefits health. With breakfast, the body can stay strong, focused and energetic throughout the morning.

People who consume breakfast eat more calories, fiber and cholesterol in their overall diet. However, they also have diets with less trans fats. These are responsible for increased inflammation at the systemic level, according to a study published in Progress in Lipid Research.

A balanced breakfast may include:

  • Dairy products. You can choose the ones you like the most, but it is better if they are whole. Mainly milk o yogurt are recommended. They provide vitamins, proteins and calcium.

It is important to keep in mind that breakfast should provide about 25% of the daily caloric intake. However, we should of course try to balance the different elements in order to allow the body to absorb all the necessary vitamins, fiber, carbohydrates and minerals.
